Why we started SheBudgets
It started with a realization—too many young girls grow up without learning how to manage money, and it holds them back in ways we don’t always see.
We’ve seen bright, ambitious girls hesitate to chase their dreams because they’re afraid of making financial mistakes. We’ve met young women stepping into adulthood without knowing how to budget, save, or invest, simply because no one ever taught them. And we’ve watched as financial insecurity limits opportunities, making independence feel like an impossible goal.
We knew this had to change.
SheBudgets was created to give girls what many of us wish we had growing up—a strong financial foundation, built with knowledge, confidence, and real-world skills. But we also knew that change starts with the adults in their lives—the parents, teachers, and mentors who guide them.
